Meet Amanda

Speech Therapist, Amanda.

I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist and owner of Learn To Play Speech. I have over five years of clinical experience and more than a decade spent supporting children with diverse learning needs. I specialize in early intervention, language delays, gestalt language processing, and speech sound disorders.

From a young age, I knew I wanted to work with children. I always thought I’d become a teacher, but I realized what I really wanted was the chance to build meaningful, one-on-one relationships and provide the kind of personalized support that every child deserves. Speech therapy gives me the best of both worlds: individualized care and the joy of watching children grow, one skill at a time.

I’ve worked in schools, residential programs, outpatient clinics, and home health, and I’ve seen the difference that in-home therapy can make. It allows me to meet families where they’re most comfortable, tailor goals to everyday routines, and provide real-time coaching so that communication skills are easier to use, practice, and celebrate.

At Learn To Play Speech, my therapy approach is play-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and relationship-first. I believe that trust and connection are the foundation of all learning.

I currently offer home and daycare-based sessions in Buda, TX and surrounding areas.

When I’m not working with families, I love to travel, run, bake, and cuddle my dog, Dobbie.
